Dos estudiantes UACJ obtienen beca participando en la Convocatoria Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP)

Dos estudiantes de la UACJ obtuvieron la beca ELAP, el cual es Programa de Becas del
Gobierno Canadiense para apoyar el desarrollo de capital humano para la próxima
generación de líderes de las Américas. Los estudiantes son Irving Ramírez del
programa
de Licenciatura en Ingeniería Física, quien fue aceptado para realizar su estancia
en la
Bishop´s University en Canadá a través del Bureau de Cooperátion Interuniversitaire
(BCI) y Javier Luna de la Licenciatura en Diseño Digital y Medios Interactivos,
quien
realiza su estancia en University of Regina en Canadá a través del Consortium for
North
American Higher Education Collaboration.
Este programa ofrece oportunidades de intercambio para estudiantes de
instituciones de América Latina y el Caribe en instituciones canadienses, ya sea
para
estancias académicas o de investigación debiendo cumplir con las bases establecidas
por
el programa.
La beca otorgada puede ser utilizada para visas o permisos de estudios,
boleto
de avión, seguro de gastos médicos, transporte, libros, alimentación y hospedaje.
Cabe mencionar que los estudiantes para poder participar primero deben de
haber sido postulados y estar participando para realizar una estancia académica en
Canadá.
Two UACJ students obtained the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) scholarship.
2023
Two UACJ students have been awarded the ELAP scholarship, which is a Canadian Government Scholarship Program aimed at supporting the development of human capital for the next generation of leaders in the Americas. The students are Irving Ramírez from the bachelor’s program in Physics Engineering, who was accepted to carry out his stay at Bishop's University in Canada through the Bureau de Cooperátion Interuniversitaire (BCI), and Javier Luna from the bachelor's program in Digital Design and Interactive Media, who is undertaking his stay at the University of Regina in Canada through the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration.
This program offers exchange opportunities for students from institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean at Canadian institutions, either for academic or research stays, provided they meet the criteria established by the program.
The scholarship awarded can be used for visa or study permit fees, airfare, medical insurance, transportation, books, meals, and accommodation. It is worth mentioning that students must first be nominated and be participating in order to undertake an academic stay in Canada.
